9928. Canvas Advanced Topics: Attendance, Announcements, Syllabus & Calendar

Recommended Prerequisite: "Intermediate Introduction to the Canvas Learning Management System"
This class is intended for users who would like to learn more about the Attendance, Announcements, Syllabus, and Calendar features within the Canvas Learning Management System. Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to:
• Create announcements to students.
• Take attendance within Canvas.
• Create a seating chart.
• Use built-in badges.
• Upload a course syllabus.
• Navigate the calendar.
• Create appointment groups for office hours, individual appointments, etc.
NOTE: Please bring a flash drive containing some documents to upload into Canvas (i. e. a course syllabus). Users also have the option to retrieve documents via a network file system such as Box or through email.
Users must have access to a course or request a demo course in Canvas to participate in this seminar.
