The Hunt for Quantum Black Holes at the LHC
One way of revealing extra dimensions would be through the production of quantum black holes. Certain theoretical calculations have suggested
the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) could produce short-lived objects called quantum black holes as it smashes protons together. In this talk I will
discuss some of the possibilities for discovering quantum black holes at the LHC ATLAS detector which has carried out an extensive search for
these objects by analyzing the full dataset of center of mass energy 8 TeV proton-proton collisions that took place at the LHC in 2012.
