Description | Please come and join us to learn about six effective ways your congregation can have a significant impact on hunger, as found in our Hunger Solutions Guide for the Faith Community. Hear directly from the leaders of innovative programs your congregation can partner with in areas such as: Emergency food provision Child hunger Senior hunger Healthy cooking and nutrition education Backyard and apartment gardening Access to benefit programs More than 1 in 5 adults and more than 1 in 4 children in Dallas County are food insecure and at risk of hunger. These statistics represent hundreds of thousands of individuals who struggle every day to obtain enough food to get by. Join other members of the faith community at this luncheon and help make a difference! The luncheon keynote speaker will be Jeremy Everett, M.
