DescriptionComposer, choir director, musicologist, and author Carl Schalk is Distinguished Professor of Music Emeritus at Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois, where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses in church music from 1965 until his retirement in 1994. His numerous choral compositions are available from a wide array of publishers, and he has written over eighty hymn tunes and carols. This event is free of charge and open to the public.
