DescriptionJeanne Baxtresser is former principal flutist of the New York Philharmonic and on the faculty of the Juilliard School. She currently teaches on the faculty of Carnegie Mellon University. Her lecture is entitled "The Orchestra Audition—a key to your future, the most effective way to learn and practice excerpts for success." The session will guide a young flutist's discovery of the most effective preparation methods and also how to enjoy the process. This event is free of charge and open to the public.
