DescriptionDr. Laura Knoppers, George N. Shuster Professor of English at Notre Dame and noted scholar of women in Early Modern English literature and culture, will draw connections between Aemilia Lanyer's Salve Deus Rex Judaeorum (1611) and Caravaggio's painting The Entombment of Christ (c. 1603). The talk will be of interest to those interested in religion and literature, art history, or women's writing.
