DescriptionJoin us on Pearl Harbor Day as we celebrate the life of Waco native Doris “Dorie” Miller. In an in-person lecture based on his book, Dr. Michael Parrish, Professor of American History at Baylor University, will delve into Miller’s biography placed in the larger context of African American service in the United States military and the beginnings of the civil rights movement. Dr. Parrish will be available for a book signing after the talk.
