Dark Matter from Scalar Field Fluctuations
Among contemporary models of dark matter (DM) production is the generation of DM abundance during cosmic inflation through a misalignment mechanism - giving DM an origin predating the
big bang. In this case, generation scenarios must allow for DM isocurvature perturbations within the limits obtained from the cosmic microwave background radiation. This presentation will
focus on the scenario where a scalar field sources the DM.
