|Description||Human Resources hosts a quarterly half-day training seminar for leaders at Baylor. The target audience are managers, supervisors, department chairs, directors, deans, assistant/associate deans, and coaches. We will begin the seminar with a message from our VP for Graduate Professional education and Professor of Management, Dr. Gari Carini. We will then introduce Baylor's Leadership Commitments from guest speakers, human resource consultants, as well as our Manager of Learning and Development. We will conclude the seminar with lunch being provided and a leadership panel from VIP guest across campus. The panel's focus will be two-fold: leading at Baylor and best practices for new managers. |
This is an important time for us to gather together with colleagues to discuss the challenges and opportunities of leadership. We will cover legal guidelines, managerial practices, and provide you with tools that will be critical for you to share with your employees, peers, and supervisors. You will leave the seminar having developed relationships to partner across campus, with tools and techniques to enhance performance management, and with a greater understanding of your own leadership faculties. Every new manager at Baylor is expected to attend the seminar. A detailed agenda will be distributed prior to the session.
**Please cancel 96 hours prior to the seminar in order to adjust cost for materials and lunch.**
