DescriptionThe Institute for Faith and Learning is pleased to offer this workshop on cultivating hospitality as part of its “Forming Character in the Classroom” series. The workshop will be led by Dr. Elizabeth Newman, professor of theology and ethics at Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA, and author of Untamed Hospitality: Welcoming God and Other Strangers (2007, Brazos Press). The workshop will include lunch and a presentation by the featured speaker as well as opportunities to rethink course structure, pedagogy, and syllabi with colleagues from across the disciplines. All faculty, graduate students, and teachers of record are warmly invited to attend.
