DescriptionPoor sleep has been labeled a “global health epidemic.” National and global health organizations recommend that adults average 8 hours of sleep, but 35% of American adults average ≤6 hours of sleep. In this seminar, we will discuss the causes of short and poor quality sleep, and we will cover the physical, mental, and cognitive consequences of sleep loss. The seminar will conclude with empirically-validated, do-it-yourself solutions. By learning these empirically-validated tips and taking a growth mindset, we can improve our sleep health, thereby improving our physical, mental, and cognitive wellbeing.
