DescriptionJoin former national park ranger Larry Smith for a beginner’s look at our closest star and how it impacts daily life. Through presentations, hands-on activities using solar-reactive equipment, and observations using a solar telescope, you will learn about the composition, lifespan, and importance of the sun for life on earth. The course fee includes a pair of diffraction glasses for you to take home. Please bring sunglasses and a bottle of water to each class.
