DescriptionRenowned classical archaeologist and art historian Sinclair Bell will deliver a public lecture "Competing Audiences: Comparing Spectators at the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus"
Sinclair Bell is an Associate Professor of Art History at Northern Illinois University.
His current areas of research are: the art and archaeology of the Etruscans; spectacles in the Roman imperial period; the visual representation of slaves and foreigners in Roman imperial art.
