DescriptionAlex Parker, Senior Lecturer in Jazz Studies and Director of the Wayne Fisher Jazz Program at Baylor University, leads his talented group of nineteen young jazz musicians. Sim Flora is a jazz trombone player and professor emeritus at Ouachita Baptist University. Dr. Flora's varied career has included a seven-year tenure as Musical Director at Six Flags Over St. Louis. During this time, he played in bands backing such major artists as Sammy Davis Jr., Mel Torme, Clark Terry, Jack Jones, and Nancy Wilson. This event is free of charge and open to the public.
