Baylor Opera Theatre presents Handel's "Oreste"

DescriptionBaylor Opera Theater presents George Frideric Handel's chamber opera Oreste. This rare work has only been performed once in America, at the Juilliard School, and Baylor's production will be a Texas and regional premiere. The opera, a re-telling of the ancient myth of cursed Orestes, will be cast with Baylor vocal studies students and will feature members of the Waco Symphony in the orchestral ensemble. The production will be conducted by the Music Director of the Baylor Opera Theater, Dr. Jeffrey Peterson, and will be directed by Interim Director of Opera, Dashiell Waterbury.
