CESCN03 Astronomy for Beginners: Observing the Night Sky

course is the perfect introduction to amateur astronomy for all who find
themselves drawn to gaze at the starry sky. Instructor Richard Campbell will
teach you about stellar and celestial objects and their motion, binoculars, and
telescopes. As you participate in outdoor night-sky observation using a variety
of observational tools, you will learn to identify constellations and other
celestial objects using a planisphere and digital programs. All the necessary
equipment will be provided to participate in the course. Each student will also
receive a textbook and planisphere, included in the course fee. Adults 18 and
older are welcome.
