Description | Jean-Luc Bertini will present his photographic work about the "Lost Russian Library of the Solovki islands," in in the Onega Bay of the White Sea, where Russian revolutionaries opened their first labor camp in 1923. This work camp became a “laboratory” and a model for future Stalinist Gulags. When the camp closed in 1939, the library, which was so important to the prisoners, disappeared without a trace. |
