Science Thursdays is a series of one-hour long talks on various scientific topics. No science background is required, only enthusiasm for and an open interest in science.

Lectures will be presented February 5, February 19, March 5, March 19, April 16, and April 30.
Join us for coffee and cookies prior to each lecture at 6:30 pm.

Exploring the Subatomic World
The world’s highest energy particle collider, the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, Switzerland, provides wonderful opportunities to study subatomic particle. Come learn how the experiment operates, how the Higgs particle was discovered, and what we expect to learn in the coming decades.
Kenichi Hatakeyama Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Baylor University.
Lectures are free and open to the public; however, admission to the museum is not included.
