| Description | Science Thursdays at the Mayborn Museum Complex Organized and sponsored by Professor Greg Benesh and Professor Meera Chandrasekhar from the Department of Physics at Baylor University Science Thursdays is a series of one-hour long talks on various scientific topics. No science background is required, only enthusiasm for and an open interest in science. Lectures will be presented February 5, February 19, March 5, March 19, April 16, and April 30. Join us for coffee and cookies prior to each lecture at 6:30 pm. Learn about how we use plant and animal fossils and information from rocks to reconstruct the climate and landscape of eastern Africa 20 million years ago. Daniel Peppe, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Geology at Baylor University. Lectures are free and open to the public; however, admission to the museum is not included.
