Science Thursdays is a series of one-hour long talks on various scientific topics. No science background is required, only enthusiasm for and an open interest in science.

Lectures will be presented February 5, February 19, March 5, March 19, April 16, and April 30.

What did Eastern Africa look like millions of years ago when our ancestors were evolving? Learn about how we use plant and animal fossils and information from rocks to reconstruct the climate and landscape of eastern Africa 20 million years ago.
Daniel Peppe, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Geology at Baylor University.

Lectures are free and open to the public; however, admission to the museum is not included.
