Former U.S. Congressman Ernest Istook graduated from Baylor with a BA and received his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law
in 1976. After serving 14 years as a U.S. Congressman, Ernest is now in
recovery. He represented Oklahoma 5th Congressional District.

Ernest was rated as one of the top conservatives in Congress and was a
founder of the Republican Study Committee, the leading organization of
conservatives in the U.S. House.
