Tom Banchoff and Dano Johnson

On September 20-21 2012, Professor Tom Banchoff (Brown University) and movie maker Dano Johnson will visit for a special undergraduate event co-sponsored by BURST (Baylor Undergraduate Research in Science and Technology) and MÖBIUS, Baylor's Math Club.

The event gets underway on Thursday, September 20 with Dr. Banchoff's lecture "From 'Flatland' to 'Sphereland' and Beyond" at 4pm. This talk will be followed by a public reception with light snacks and refreshments from 5:00-5:45 pm and culminate with Dano introducing the Baylor premiere of his latest movie "Flatland 2: Sphereland", the much-anticipated sequel to his 2007 hit movie "Flatland: the Movie".

Both the lecture and movie will take place in D109 of the Baylor Sciences Building; the reception will take place in E2 of the BSB.

All students, non-students, and faculty are welcome to attend this exciting event.
