| Description | Convocation is an academic ceremony to welcome new students into the community of scholars and the community of faith at Baylor University, and to formally mark their entrance into the academic life of the university. One of the culminating events of Welcome Week, Convocation brings together administrators, faculty, and students to commemorate the start of the academic year, providing a bookend to commencement for the newest students on campus. |
