DescriptionThe Armstrong Browning Library & Museum and the 19CRS proudly present Dr. Mark Sandy, Professor of English, Durham University (UK) and ABL Three-Month Research Fellow. Sandy will explore the poetic reflections of Lord Byron on Venice, Italy - the real and unreal city that commingles its solid architectural structures with watery insubstantiality, myth with history, personal memory with historical monument, and poetic artistry with the writing of history. This presentation is free and open to the public. A reception will follow. Baylor CAE credit is available.
