Description | Pictures, Portraits & Snapshots: Glimpses into Baylor's Special Libraries will feature treasures from Baylor's Armstrong Browning Library; Institute for Oral History; Keston Center for Religion, Politics, and Society; The Texas Collection; and W. R. Poage Legislative Library. Ten panelists will each present a particular item from these special collections for three minutes. Following these "speed" presentations, the panelists will participate in a Q&A and discussion about their experiences working with the Baylor Libraries special collections. Featured items range from 19th century British hairwork to the music of Waco's own 'Old Man River' Jules Bledsoe to the sacrifices of a Russian priest and the legendary Texas "Crash at Crush." |
