Description | As one of the many excellent conferences held on its campus, Truett Seminary's African American Preaching Conference will uniquely emphasize the work and witness of ministry as it intersects with the academy. This theme will be touched upon by nationally noted proclaimers, plenary session speakers, and in workshops rooted in the rich resources of Baylor University and Truett Seminary. Informed by the theological seminary, inspired by anointed preaching, enlivened by choral praise, and shaped by a steering committee of 30 African American leaders, this conference will present a singular emphasis. Marked by the 400th anniversary of slavery in North America, the theme will be "The Liberating Voice of the African-American Pulpit." |
