Boundary Breaking Women's Panel
Date | September 13, 2018 |
Time | 3:30 - 4:30 pm |
Location | Cashion Academic Center, 5th Floor |
Description | Two hundred years ago Amelia Bloomer was born. Bloomer, an early suffragist, newspaper editor, and temperance activist, also advocated dress reform, particularly less-restrictive clothing for women. In fact, she is most associated with the pantaloons that came to be known as bloomers. To celebrate this social activism, the theme of the panel is Redefining Womanhood, and will highlight 10 women and the ways their boundary breaking efforts redefined womanhood. |
