|Description||The Allbritton Art Institute will host Nicole R. Myers, Lillian and James H. Clark Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the Dallas Museum of Art for the Allbritton Art Institute Art Lecture. Dr. Myers will lecture on the life and work of Impressionist, Berthe Morisot. The lecture will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in McClinton Auditorium (240) in the Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation. The event will be free and open to the public.|
Dr. Myers co-curated a major, international exhibition of Morisot's work, "Berthe Morisot, Woman Impressionist". The monographic exhibition is co-organized by four intuitions (Musee national des beaux-arts du Quebec, the Barnes Foundation, the Dallas Museum of Art and the Musee d'Orsay) and will examine Morisot's work and career as a revolutionary and essential member of the Impressionists. The exhibition will travel to the Dallas Museum of Art in the Spring of 2019.
