Vedder is Distinguished Professor of Economics Emeritus at Ohio University, Director of the Center for College Affordability and Productivity, and an Adjunct Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. He has authored more than 150 scholarly papers, a dozen books on topics such as the economics of education, taxation, government causes of unemployment, and Wal-Mart. He has also authored hundreds of articles in the popular press such as the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and Forbes, and has been interviewed by every major cable news station. In addition, he previously served as an economist for the Joint Economic Committee of Congress and has advised governments around the world on economic policy.
