|Date||May 27, 2017|
|Time||10:00 am - 5:00 pm|
|Location||Mayborn Museum Complex|
|Description||Join us Saturday, May 27 for opening day of SPEED: Science in Motion. In addition to the new exhibit, race drivers from the Heart of Texas Speedway and more will be displaying their racecars at the museum. Visitors will be able to learn about racing from drivers and have their photos taken with the cars. |
Developed by Scitech in Perth, Australia and produced by Imagine Exhibitions, SPEED: Science in Motion, replicates the high-octane action of the Formula 1 racetrack, complete with pit lane, workshop and physical testing environments.
This immersive experience is designed to unravel the cutting edge science and technology behind professional motor sports. Visitors can challenge themselves through hands-on exhibits and displays, to see if they have the skills, fitness and reactions to race at over 125 miles per hour.
Museum members can enjoy Member's Hour at 9:00am on Saturday for an early look at the exhibit. Admission to SPEED: Science in Motion is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $6 for children. Museum members and Baylor University students receive free admission. Outdoor activities are subject to change or cancellation in case of inclement weather. Please call the museum at (254)710-1110 or see our Facebook page for updates.
