DateNovember 4, 2015
Time3:30 - 5:00 pm
LocationCox Lecture Hall, Armstrong Browning Library
Baylor University
Waco, TX
DescriptionRelations
between Christendom and the Islamic world have always been complex but
they reveal persistent patterns of conflict. While the protagonists
change, the 20th and 21st centuries show increasing conflict in which
religious identity is a key factor. To avoid escalation, it is important
to learn from parts of the world that have different patterns. One such
is Indonesia, by far the world's largest Muslim country, which can be
an example to the Muslim world and to us.
