Title:Lorentz Violation: Theories and Possible Experimental Tests
Abstract: I will review several different theories concerning Lorentz violation; from the phenomenon of Standard Model Extension to the model of Very Special Relativity and Doubly Special Relativity as well as the conflict between the Lorentz invariance and quantum gauge field theories. Our work on deformed Very Special Relativity and Finsler geometry realization will be briefly introduced. I will also touch upon the possible experimental tests of Lorentz violation effects from particle physics and astronomy.
Dr. Xue received a Ph.D from Zhongshan University in Guangzhou, China, 1990. He also completed post-doctoral work at the Fudan University in Shanghai, 1991‐1993. He was a faculty member at Zhongshan University, in Guangzhou, China, 1993‐1998, and is currently a faculty member at East China Normal University.
