How can I be a part of Baylorís effort to globalize? Our mission states that ours is a caring environment, but how do we demonstrate care for international students, many of whom have never set foot in the United States? What are our expectations? What are their expectations? How do we encourage a learning environment for all while integrating international students into the classroom, residential life, and our academic community? In this course, you will have the opportunity to voice your questions as well as learn from those experienced in this area as we address cultural assumptions that can influence faculty, staff, and international student interactions. Objectives: Address faculty and staff questions concerning interactions with international students. Discuss cultural and academic assumptions that may impact interactions.
