Title: NASA’s Airborne Science Program

Abstract: The talk will cover NASA’s Airborne Science Program, my involvement and how it supports the National Science Objectives. In addition we will explore how these aircraft being national assets have been utilized for the development of new systems and education. In the presentation there will be a discussion on ways universities can participate in the research activity NASA sponsors to develop the instruments which fly and collect data from these unique research platforms. The presentation will be sprinkled with personnel anecdotes, observations and commentary as a research pilot and manager.
