|Description||The Martin Museum of Art at Baylor University will feature “Selections from the Permanent Collection” showcasing artwork from the museum’s permanent collection and recent acquisitions from the 2011-2012 academic year. The exhibition is scheduled from May 22 to June 23 in Gallery I with new museum hours now including Sunday.
Twenty-six works, including many recent gifts to the museum, represent a wide variety of media such as paintings, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, and mixed media. Artists include Romare Bearden, Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall, Ted Egri, Robert Kipniss, Mauricio Lasansky, Francisco de Goya y Lucientes, McRay Magleby, Michael Mazur, Ron Meyers, Joan Miró, Gordon Mortensen, and H. Claude Pissarro. Texas artists featured are Marc Burckhardt, Jerry Dodd, Ann Ekstrom, Leah Force, Dan Wingren, and Robert Willson.
The Martin Museum of Art is located in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center on the Baylor University campus. NEW HOURS are 10am-6pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. 10am-7:30pm on Thursday. 10am-4pm on Saturday. 12-4pm on Sunday.
