Description

Criminal justice reform has gained support across America’s bitter partisan divides. Despite these recent gains, though, we have a long ways to go before our justice system is effective. This discussion will consider the future of criminal justice reform, and the role religious communities play in helping offenders both inside and outside of prison. The discussion will feature several of the country’s leading experts on religion and criminal justice, including Byron Johnson, Distinguished Professor of the Social Sciences, who is one of the country’s leading scholars on the role of religion in crime reduction and prosocial behavior.
