DescriptionAcceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a third wave, mindfulness based behavioral therapy that has proven effective with a wide range of presenting concerns. Dr. Ed Rogers will help you enhance your professional practice with this introduction to ACT’s history, fundamental assumptions and essential theories. You will become familiar with psychological flexibility and the six core change processes of ACT, learning how this therapy guides people to be fully present, open up and do what really matters. Consistent with the style of ACT, you will learn through discussion, case vignettes, experiential exercises and guided practice.
