|Description||Join us for the second annual Largent Lecture featuring Joan Baldwin and Anne W. Ackerson on "Museum Leadership and Gender."
Baldwin and Ackerson are co-authors of Women in the Museum: Lessons from the Workplace (2017) and Leadership Matters (2013). The latter examines history museum leadership for the 21st century and continues to evolve as a blog on the subject.
Together and individually Baldwin and Ackerson speak frequently at the American Alliance of Museums annual meetings, at many regional museum association meetings, and last fall co-presented a half-day Leadership Forum at the American Association for State and Local History annual meeting.
They also co-teach a course on leadership for the Johns Hopkins University Museum Studies program. Baldwin and Ackerson are co-founders of the Gender Equity in Museums Movement (GEMM).
A reception will take place prior to the lecture at 5:30 pm.
The lecture is free of charge and open to the public; however, museum admission is not included. Please RSVP to Lisa Rieger at 254-710-1233 or Lisa_Rieger@baylor.edu
