|Description||We hope you’ll consider joining us for one of our services. It’s a great way to begin your Advent observance and also an opportunity to introduce family, friends, colleagues, and especially students to this important and rich season of the Church year. Our service is about 45 minutes long and features some Advent hymns written especially for Baylor. Our own Carlos Colón has composed these pieces and will be leading a chamber orchestra as we sing together, pray for ourselves and our world, and hear the scriptures read in the Foyer of Meditation. During Prayers for the World, we will sing a new Psalm bilingual setting by Colón, "Veo Violencia en la Ciudad" - "I See Violence in the City." This anthem was premiered recently in El Salvador at the canonization events for Salvadoran martyr Oscar Romero.
This year's service will start with a beautiful instrumental Advent piece by Kurt Kaiser, who passed away recently.
Come and take part in this beautiful evening.
