DescriptionThis is an annual conference that brings together experimental social scientists in the Texas region to discuss new academic research using experimental methodology and to interact and build new professional relationships. The conference typically lasts just one day and consists of academic talks and poster presentations. Most of the attendees are economists who use experimental methodology but many are business school researchers, psychologists, and some neuroscientists as well. The host of the conference changes each year, previously hosted by Texas A&M, UT Dallas, Rice, UT Arlington, and Trinity University. The conference was described by last year's host, Trinity University in San Antonio succinctly as "The purpose of the conference is to highlight experimental social science research being done by researchers in Texas or with Texas connections, and to facilitate collaboration across institutions."
