Henry Winkler, narrator
Henry Winkler has spent more than four decades enjoying success in Hollywood and the entertainment field.
An actor, author, director and producer, he received an Emmy in 2018 for his role on the HBO dark comedy Barry.
His portrayal of The Fonz for ten seasons on Happy Days made him one of the most recognized actors in the world. He won two consecutive Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, and three Emmy nominations in the same category. He was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the leather jacket the character wore has hung in The Smithsonian since 1980.
He has written a series of children's novels that have appeared on several Best Seller lists, including The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times, among others.
On television, Winkler had the good fortune to work in both comedies as well as dramas. A guest role in an ABC series earned him an Emmy Award nomination. He Executive Produces and stars in an NBC celebrity adventure show alongside William Shatner, George Foreman and Terry Bradshaw. No stranger to live theatre, he has appeared on Broadway in two Neil Simon plays.
He joins the WSO to narrate Peter and the Wolf.
Haeun Moon, violin
Sixteen-year-old twins Haeun and Hayoung Moon have earned accolades from around the country, starting with their Carnegie Hall debut at age 11 after individually winning their respective divisions of the American Protégé International Concerto Competition. Each has won top prize in numerous national and international competitions and performed with major orchestras.
Haeun studies violin with U.T. faculty member Brian Lewis, after beginning her studies with Dr. Julia Hardy and Dr. Sue Jacobson at the Central Texas String Academy in Waco. Cellist Hayoung studies with Baylor Faculty member Dr. Gary Hardie. They are co-founders of Mission Waco's after-school music program and enjoy volunteering at the Blind Rehab unit of the Doris Miller Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Both participate in the Midway High School Orchestra program and the Waco Symphony Youth Orchestra.
