Waco Womens History Walk

DateMarch 22, 2018Time5:30 - 7:00 pm
LocationMeet at the Suspension Bridge on University Parks Drive
DescriptionWomen have played important—although not always acknowledged—roles in Waco’s development. During our walk through downtown, we will discuss women’s roles as pioneers, city leaders, and savvy entrepreneurs. While some of these women worked within social conventions—others were more “infamous” in their endeavors. Celebrate Women’s History Month with a walk highlighting Waco women. Sponsored by Baylor’s Women’s and Gender Studies Program, Act Locally Waco, and Waco Walks.
