|Description||This year marks the one hundredth anniversary of the Silent Sentinels protest for suffrage in front of the White House. To mark this anniversary, Baylor’s Women and Gender Studies Program is sponsoring a panel, Boundary Breaking Women: A Call to Action. |
During this one-hour panel, ten outstanding Baylor faculty members will introduce ten women from the twelfth- to the twenty-first century, including Eleanor of Aquitaine, Maria Montessori, Alice Paul, Gwendolyn Brooks and others who broke boundaries in education, science, religion, politics, and the arts. The event is open to the public.
