|Description||Baylor's Office of Career & Professional Development is hosting the HireABear career fair. This event is for students and alumni looking for a professional job and for students seeking internships! Different employers, seeking Baylor students in all academic fields, will be present with a focus of students in the college of arts and sciences, school of social work and college of health and human sciences. We expect about 75 companies in attendance with entry-level career positions and internships. While some companies do seek specific majors with in the college of arts and science, the majority of companies are open to all majors.
This is an opportunity for you to present yourself professionally in person to a potential employer, while showcasing your communications skills. The keys to a successful job fair experience are preparation and follow up.
Here is a checklist to help you get prepared.
- Research the list of participating employers through Handshake.
- Get your resume reviewed
- Prepare your 30-second introduction
- Make sure your have a suit, padfolio, and copies of your resume
- Don't forget to ask for business cards at the career fair so you can follow-up with thank-you notes
STUDENT DRESS REQUIREMENT TO ATTEND THE FAIR:
- Professional dress preferred; business casual dress required

First 400 students and alumni attending the Career Fair can have a professional profile picture taken to add to their LinkedIn profiles.
Many companies will also be available for on-campus interviewing, both preceding and following the fair date. Check with the Career & Professional Development office for details.
