DescriptionPresented by Dallas City Councilman Philip Kingston Sponsored by the American Constitution Society Dallas City Councilman Philip Kingston ('99) is a distinguished Baylor Lawyer and public servant. He will speak about his roles as both a lawyer and city councilman, primarily focusing on local leadership professionally and politically. In addition, Councilman Kingston will discuss emerging issues from a leadership perspective. Some of the topics the councilman may discuss include: Local government transparency in the digital age, helping the local community through pro bono work as an attorney, maintaining civility in a divided political climate, usage of social media, the practice of law and community service in the 21st century, and working with ride sharing companies (such as Uber) to help ensure community access. Qualifies for one hour of professional development credit.
