DescriptionThe 2018 STEM and Humanities Symposium, sponsored by the Baylor University College of Arts & Sciences, will examine and provide different perspectives on the human body. The keynote address, "To Repair the World: Dr. Farmer Speaks to the Next Generation," will be delivered by award-winning medical anthropologist and humanitarian Dr. Paul Farmer at 3 p.m. The conference will also feature a panel discussion beginning at 1 p.m. with Baylor faculty members Dr. Dwayne Simmons (biology), Dr. Sara Dolan (psychology and neuroscience) and Dr. Natalie Carnes (religion) that will look at the body from the perspectives of a biologist, a neuroscientist and a theologian.
