Final Sales Competition of the ProSales Year: Results of the BBVA

April 14, 2022

Baylor ProSales recently held the Baylor Business Value Analysis (BBVA) competition, where students completed a value analysis and delivered the results to an existing customer via video. BBVA competitors had to address a supply chain issue involving microchips used in the manufacture of small consumer appliances. The student competitors specifically had to address how best to meet the Fortune 100 company’s manufacturing timetable, given the Taiwanese microchips were not scheduled to arrive at the Midwest plant as promised (a concern for the manufacturer since the appliances exhibit strong sales at Christmas).

Value videos were judged virtually by 101 Corporate Partners, Advisory and Ambassador board members and business executives from around the country. Among the 88 individual competitors, the top BBVA finishers are:

1. Mahak Rajwani
2. Gracie Miller
3. Max Kleiner
4. Grace Bass
5. Gavin Hartoonian
6. Chloe Carlson (tie)
6. Islay Lyttle (tie)
6. Matthew Mouton (tie)
7. Kristina Ward
8. Jake Morrow
9. Hannah de la Torre
10. Jason Nacario

The top finisher, Mahak Rajwani, shared, “I have learned a lot through my time in the ProSales program, particularly during my junior year. I think everything that I have learned in my classes and prep for an external competition translated to the skills I applied to BBVA and I am grateful for that to be recognized. It was also really nice to see all the built-in support and community in the program come to light through the well wishes received after the announcement!”

“We develop each of our sales competition profiles to focus on current issues facing today’s business-to-business sales representatives. Our goal is to strengthen our students’ knowledge in a variety of industries and customer situations. Working through digital and video platforms prepares our students for the modern sales environment,” noted Dr. Andrea Dixon, Executive Director of the Center for Professional Selling.

The BBVA allows Baylor students to see how they stack up against their peers and allows the center’s Corporate Partners to view Baylor talent as they prepare to enter the job market. In addition, top performers are awarded cash prizes.
