Center for Sports Strategy and Sales

Creating and analyzing effective digital media is central to the marketing of sports by broadcasters, organizations, and brands. 

The vast majority of sport revenue is generated via technology in the form of tickets sold online, event broadcasts & sponsorship rights, and digital products & content, increasingly consumed on mobile devices. The future success of the sport business professional rests in the minds and hands of those best able to navigate the new sporting environment.

At the undergraduate level, the Center for Sports Strategy & Sales (S3) prepares students to launch careers with (a) the sales and customer analytics tools to efficiently connect and communicate with today's ticket buyers, (b) the knowledge of digital media products and analytics to present and track effective brand activation strategies for partners, and (c) the data strategy and actionable insights to guide teams, broadcasters, and partners to maximize revenue. 

Summer School in London. Three-week intensive module for course credit at Baylor in Global Sports Business Analytics. The London experience includes classes and lectures from a variety of world class educators and practitioners, site visits (e.g., sports marketing agencies, West Ham United FC/Stadium, Arsenal FC/Stadium, etc.), and local cultural excursions around London. All sophomores admitted into the business school by the second summer term are eligible to apply. S3 majors receive priority in the acceptance decision. Find out more at Baylor Global Programs here.

Graduate Programs. In exclusive partnership with Loughborough University in London, we offer selected Baylor S3 graduates the opportunity to pursue a Masters in Sport Digital & Media Technologies. Individuals accepted into the MSC program in London complete a year's studies (eight course modules), including potential internships with media companies and agencies associated with the marketing of sport in the Premier League. Future plans include expansion to European sport organizations in collaboration with our joint corporate partner, KORE Software, a leading provider of data and analytics software in the business of sport.

Requirements. To be selected for the MSC program at Loughborough University London in Sport Digital & Media Technologies, students must (a) complete the S3 major at Baylor University in the CRM & Analytics track, (b) obtain a minimum cumulative 3.50 GPA, (c) gain the recommendation of the Baylor S3 faculty members, and (d) complete the admissions process with Loughborough.

Pending approval, the top two students selected from the Baylor S3 program will be granted the tuition rate afforded to UK/EU  members rather than the fees charged to USA and other international applicants. This provision (approximately $15,000) is exclusive in the United States to selected Baylor S3 candidates. Other scholarships are available.

The university is renowned for its performance in sports, as well as its sports technology initiatives. The university was selected as the Sports University of the Year for 2017. University-linked athletes earned 42 medals from the 2016 Rio Olympics; if the university were a country it would have placed in the top 20.
