What does it take to succeed in sports?
Success in any career you choose is determined by your goals.
Not surprisingly, research finds that among the largest sales organizations in the United States, those who set more challenging goals achieve higher performance. But, goals aren't just what you set for yourself. It's what you set as part of a team. As Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski says, "Goals should be realistic, attainable, and shared among all members of the team." At Baylor, you're part of the S3 team. We help you reach your goals by developing your confidence with the appropriate skill sets and values to succeed. We connect you with the people where you want to go.
Where do you want to go?
The career path diagram below shows typical paths of success for those who major in Sports Strategy & Sales (S3). Whether you select the Brand Strategy, Data Strategy, or Sales Leadership track, it's important to know where you're going.

It's never too early to set career goals. Begin by asking questions. Find a role model, a mentor, who holds the position you want to attain some day. Build a network of professionals, friends, and family to support you in your quest. Discern your calling and purpose in life. Then commit yourself. Begin with the end in mind.
