Kayworth Named Associate Dean of Graduate Business Programs at BaylorNov. 21, 2017
Timothy Kayworth has been named associate dean of Graduate Business programs at Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business.
“Tim has significant leadership experience, having served as chair of the Information Systems Department. He has been involved in all facets of graduate education in the business school,” said Terry Maness, dean of the Business School. “I look forward to working with him as he steps into this new leadership role.”
Hankamer School of Business offers a full portfolio of nationally-ranked graduate degrees, including Master of Business Administration (full-time, executive and online), Master of Accountancy, Master of Taxation, Master of Science in Information Systems, Master of Science in Economics, and numerous joint master’s degrees. In addition, there are three doctoral programs: Information Systems, Healthcare Services and Research, and Entrepreneurship.
Kayworth moves into the position left vacant by Gary Carini, who joined the Provost’s Office last month.
Kayworth has prior industry experience in information systems consulting and has also held positions as MIS director and operations manager for private sector firms. His research interests center on the management of information technology in organizations.
Recent research projects have included such topics as leadership in global virtual teams, the impact of organizational culture on knowledge management practice, the role of culture in information systems research, and information security governance. His work has been published in such journals as MIS Quarterly, the Journal of Management Information Systems, the European Management Journal, and DATABASE, as well as in numerous international information systems conference proceedings.
Kayworth earned his MBA and PhD from Florida State University, with a BA degree from Columbia University.
