Career Courses
MBA students are required to take two Career Management courses (BUS 5111 and BUS 5112) in the MBA curriculum. You will explore your career passion, personal strengths and weaknesses, and focus on the respective industry, company, and position that fulfills your passion.
Priority is placed on securing a meaningful internship experience and positioning yourself for the employment opportunity of your dreams. The courses refine your leadership, communication and employable attributes. The courses offer the following:
- An assessment of personal strengths and weaknesses
- The discovery of a student’s career passion
- Industry and job focusing exercises
- Networking assistance
- Peer coaching Leadership, communication and personal marketability assistance
- Career panels with outside speakers for informational and networking purposes
- Job interview skills training
MBA Leadership Summit
MBA students participate in an off-campus educational experience, as part of their Career Development courses. Faculty from various disciplines travel with students, challenging them to seek the most out of the experience. The interaction between students and faculty outside the classroom strengthens the educational journey at Baylor.
